Eeturn to the first positionand repeat the movement. Try the same, throwingwith the left arm. Times—10 — 25 — 40. Eate per minute, 10—20 —30. Caution — In this exercise care should be taken to throwthe hand straight forward, and all of the other move-ments of the legs, trunk, and arms, should be cor-related, so as to carry out this purpose. Parts Affected — Flexors and extensors of the arms,upper chest, shoulders, waist, and abdominal muscles,and the calves, extensors of the legs and rotators ofthe spine to a lesser extent. 244
