As yet Ive notbeen called on to go to France, soam now getting things in shape tobegin building boats for the govern-ment. They expect to lay the keelfor the first boat in a few days. IfI cant go help clean the Kaiser, Ican help build ships to mop up withhim anyway. PERSONALS Mr. Harold Denny was calledhome last week on account of theillness of his mother. Miss H. K. Gresham, the efficientEnglish teacher in Knoxville Highwas the guest of Miss Helen Ted-ford and Miss Vera McCampbell forthe week-end. We are glad to hear that MissesEsther and Emily Montgomery willbe back on the hill Tuesday. Dr. and Mrs. Vail, from Knoxvillecelebrated their Fifth Wedding An-niversary by a visit to Miriam, Janeand Robert Bartlett last week.
