A year pass-ed, duJPwg which the College morethan fulfilled its promise and theclang of the hammer has been aconstant portend of the joys of Nov.1, 1915. As the students were gathered in Chapel Nov. 1st, ebullient with joyover the Chattanooga football victory,there could not have been a more op-portune time for the Swimming Pooldedication. The Swimming pool was completeand the day for the formal openinghad arrived. Dr. Wilson gave a historyof the Spirit of the Larger Mary-ville, mentioning what the AthleticAssociation, the Y. M. C. A. and theCooperative Boarding Club had doneto advance the college along lines ofgreatest value to the students. Pat. Quinn was then introduced tospeak for the Y. M. C. A. and to re-view the activities of that associa-tion in helping to build the SwimmingPool. After reviewing briefly the partplayed by the Y. M. C. A. in buildingthe Swimming Pool, Mr. Quinn show-Continued on Page Four.
