TJAndromeda arhorea supporte un froid plusconsidérable que celui qui se fait sentir dans lespays où il croît naturellement^ car jen ai vu unindividu haut de 18 pieds (6 mètres), qui végétoittrès-bien à New-York, où les froids sont en hiverbeaucoup plus rigoureux quen France et en Angle-terre; ce qui doit engager les amateurs darbresétrangers à le multiplier pour le seul agrément deses fleurs, quil donne dès quil a atteint 5 à6pieds(2 mètresJ délévation.
