Description
Deutsch: Kriegerdenkmal am Elseyer Kirchplatz im Hagener Stadtteil Hohenlimburg, vor den herbstlich gefärbten Linden an der Stiftskirche. Es gedenkt der gefallenen Elseyer Soldaten der Kriege von 1866 bis 1871. Ein 1874 vom Bildhauer Richter aus Hagen geschaffener Obeliskartiger Stein, auf der Spitze liegt ein steinerner Lorbeerkranz. Die Frontseite zieren ein eisernes Kreuz und im Fußteil zwei gekreuzte Schwerter mit Helm. Die Inschrift auf der Rückseite (Foto) lautet: „Friede den Tapferen, die Heil uns und Frieden dem Lande erkämpften. Dankvoll preisen wir sie, ehren die Helden im Tod“.
