Notes
  • Significance: This structure was built by the Navajo tribe in the 1930's as a storage building on the former Navajo Day School tract within the Hubbell Trading Post. The four store rooms were each accessible from the exterior on the south side. The taller storeroom on the west side served as the tower base for a water tank which provided water pressure to a communal water spigot down hill to the north. Now part of the Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site, the building has been adaptively fitted for use as a comfort station, with original stone partitions between the three rooms removed for plumbing.
  • Unprocessed Field note material exists for this structure: FN-33
  • Survey number: HABS AZ-137-G
  • Building/structure dates: after 1930 Initial Construction
