English: Rectangular, with curves and counter-curves along ornate perimeter, featuring raised decoration of female equestrian on horse, jumping over wooden fence, tree and grass in foreground and background, scene is framed by elaborate scroll work, lid features fox head with scroll work surround; reverse features variation on decorative scroll work frame, scroll work on lid as well, reserve empty except for incised initials "J.C.L." Lid hinged on side. Striker on bottom. |
