This Isn’t A Pipe Organ. This pipe-organ appearing device in reality is a super-sensitive lens-testing camera in the U.S. Bureau of Standards where the government tests products before they are purchased. F. A. Case of the scientific staff is placing a lens in the tester. Dr. I. C. Gardner is in charge of this work for the government. Accurate lens are necessary for government mapping work and for Air Corps observers. March 29, 1934.
