In the Assyrian Collection of the British Museum there are threevases, found at Nimroud, which have the same system of one verticaltubular hole on each side. There is also, in the collection of Babylonianantiquities, the fragment of a hand-made slightly-baked vase, whichhas the same vertical tubular holes for suspension. The same systemalso exists on a vase from Cyprus in the Louvre, as well as on a vasein the Museum of St. Germain-en-Laye, found in a Dolmen ; again, ona fragment of a vase in the collection of Count Szechenyi Bela inHungary,2 and on a small vase marked No. 1094, in the Grand DucalAntiquarium of Schwerin.
