Español: Con motivo de las celebraciones del día 2 de mayo, ha arrancado esta tarde ‘Nuestras estatuas hablan’, un ciclo que los sábados de primavera pretende acercar a los ciudadanos de todos los distritos los personajes que protagonizan las estatuas madrileñas y su papel en la historia. La actriz Irene Escolar, conocida por su papel de Juana de Castilla en la serie de televisión Isabel y ganadora del Goya a la mejor actriz revelación por ‘Un otoño sin Berlín’, y el actor Alberto San Juan, interprete entre otros filmes, de ‘Al otro lado de la cama’, una de la películas más taquilleras del cine español, ganador de un premio Max y cofundador del grupo teatral Animalario, han sido los encargados de poner voz a la estatua de Benito Pérez Galdós, situada en el parque de El Retiro, leyendo el fragmento de sus Episodios Nacionales dedicado al Madrid del 2 de mayo. Junto a ellos, para celebrar la fiesta de Madrid y estrenar esta iniciativa, les han acompañado la alcaldesa de Madrid, Manuela Carmena, el ministro de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, Íñigo Méndez de Vigo y la primera y segundo tenientes de alcalde, Marta Higueras y Nacho Murgui.
