Title
Iron Age to Roman Mount
Description
English: Worn and abraded cast copper alloy probable mount of late Iron Age to early Roman date. The mount is oval in plan and slightly boat-shaped (concave) in section. The mount resembles an eye in form, with an oval outer and within this a raised circular boss. The inner part of this boss may have traces of enamel decoration, but due to considerable degradation of this artefact it is not posible to be certain. The mount has no obvious means of attachment but the edges are notably worn.

Based on the style of decoration this object is dated c.300 BC to AD 100.
