English: 150320-N-ZB122-001 TUMON, Guam (March 20, 2015) Hershel Woodrow “Woody” Williams, a retired Marine and the last surviving recipient of the Medal of Honor from the Battle of Iwo Jima, is recognized during a commemoration ceremony for the battle. This ceremony is to honor the service members that took part in the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II, and this year marks the 70th anniversary of the flag raising on Mount Suribachi.
