  • Significance: Becoming one of the most substantial manufacturers in Summit County, the Jaite Company was founded in 1905. Producing paper products, the company established by Charles H. Jaite produced up to eight tons of paper per day. The success of the Jaite Co. was due to Mr. Jaite's many years of practical experience, mastering all aspects of paper production. ... The bridge is a Pratt truss measuring 138'9" center to center of pins. A clear width of 13/9" has been provided, with a 19'10" height clearance. Structural members were supplied by Carnegie Steel, and rolled dimensions correspond with current A.I.S.C. standards.
