Juju House
Image of the entrance to a Juju House in Calabar. There are two round clay pots outside the door and the walls of the house are decorated with tribal art.; Juju is a word of West African origin that refers to the supernatural powers ascribed to an object and also to the use of such objects. Juju houses in Calabar were built to house a dead man's spirit. It was outside a juju house that Mary Slessor delivered her first public message.
