Description |
English: Palaeolithic pointed handaxe knapped from dark orange-brown 'amber' coloured flint. The hand axe has a trimmed butt end with a small amount of natural cortex on the surface and the point is irregular. Both surfaces are covered in imapct ripples with some flaking scars. The edges of the axe are worn and abraded. The axe is 200mm long, 104.62mm wide and 41.86mm thick. |
