Kaufmann School, Pamona, ca.1910
Photograph at an oblique angle of the exterior of the Kaufmann School -- elementary school -- (or Pomona High School?) at Palomares Street and Sixth Street in Pomona. The Mission-style building is approached by a broad walk planted on either side with small plants and a tall flag pole in the middle. Though basically one story, the central portion of the building rises to two stories and is flanked with two square bell towers. Small trees are planted in the strip of ground between the sidewalk and curb (and overgrown gutter) in the foreground.
