One case of typhoidfever occurred in Forty Mile last fall, probably due todrinking water polluted with decayed vegetable matter. In selecting men to relieve in this country I beg tosubmit a few remarks, some of which will be of assistanceto the medical examiners in making their recommenda-tions. Men should be sober, strong and healthy. Theyshould be practical men, able to adapt themselves quicklx-to their surroundings.
