Deutsch: Kriegerdenkmal in Hagen-Herbeck, Herbecker Weg. Erschaffen 1925 von dem Bildhauer Hans Dammann. Auf einem gemauerten Steinpostament kniet ein stilisierter Soldat in einer ungewöhnlichen Bekleidung. In der rechten Hand hält er ein Schwert. Inschrift: „FÜRS VATERLAND“. Vordere Tafel am Sockel: „AUS DER GEMEINDE HERBECK FIELEN IM WELTKRIEG 1914–1918“ (Namen und Gedenkgedicht). Linke Tafel: „AUS DEM WELTKRIEG 1939–1945 KEHRTEN BISHER AUS DEM STADTTEIL HAGEN-HERBECK NICHT ZURÜCK“ (Namen). Rechte Tafel: „IM WELTKRIEG 1939–1945 FIELEN IM KAMPF FÜR DEUTSCHLAND AUS DEM STADTTEIL HAGEN-HERBECK“ (Namen). Im Hintergrund rechts sieht man Reste der Ahornallee zum Gut Herbeck (mit Schild „geschützter Landschaftsbestandteil“). |
