Title
LANCUM-0CA2C8: Roman brick fragments/architectural material
Description
English: Several fragments of building material (c. 15 pieces) dating from the Roman period, i.e. c. AD43-410. All pieces are made from a sandy, bright orange-reddish fabric and look and feel very worn and abraded, probably because of the extended period they have been on the beach. The fragments are probably parts of bricks, wall, floor- and roofing tiles, the largest fragment (see close-up) almost certainly being a fragment of a large Roman roof tile.
