Title
LANCUM-F65322: Medieval D-shaped buckle
Description
English: D-shaped cast cu-alloy buckle frame dating from the late medieval or early post-medieval period, ie. c. 1500-1700. The frame is roughly D-/oval shaped and complete except for the pin. The frame is slightly domed on the obverse and flat on the reverse. It is undecorated and the only indentation is the pin rest in the centre of the broader side of the frame. The bar on the other side looks worn, especially where the pin was attached to it. The outside out of the buckle measures 33.72x43.45mm and the inside 17.74x29.9mm.
