Masesto ha de entenderse de cierto modo: ninguna de sus piezas tuvo porescenario la iglesia, y sus representaciones profanas son notablementesuperiores a las devotas en número, en extensión y en mérito. Él sacó losautos de los claustros y pórticos de las catedrales, haciéndolos representaren el castillo de Alba de Tormes, residencia señorial del duque de AlbaD.
