Le dernier grand genre est d'envoyer la carte du père et de la
mère en fixant à l'un des coins, avec une faveur rose ou bleue, sui-
vant le sexe de l'enfant, une petite carte portant le prénom du
nouveau-né, accompagné de ces mots : « Né ou Née le... »
Quant aux missives diplomatiques, elles contiennent souvent
trois ou quatre lignes de noms et prénoms et deux lignes seulement
d'information : «Je vous annonce l'heureuse délivrance de Mme....»;
le catéchisme du savoir-vivre l'exige ainsi.
