Description
English: Regarding delivery of Fort Laramie to Mr. Papin. Refused to deliver it to me and waits for express from St. Louis with orders from Mr. Drips. Sarpy was on Laramie Fork and refused to move to North Fork of the Platte saying he was under contract with Mr. Chouteau. There is a company of Portugese which has not bothered us much up to the present time. Lists articles being sent by Joseph Juette. Persons mentioned include: Honore Picotte and Woods. Places mentioned include: Fort Pierre and South Fork.
