Title
Lithic implement
Description
English: A flint object, which is probably a fairly crude leaf-shaped arrowhead. The flint is a light greyish-brown colour, and has been knapped into a symmetrical leaf-shape; it is likely to have been knapped from a struck blank. There is a flaw in the flint, which has caused a large awkward flake to be removed across one side. This would be a ponderous and heavy arrowhead, but was clearly completed, as the edges have been pressure flaked to even them up. The piece is in good condition, with little wear. It is likely to date to between the Upper Palaeolithic and the late Mesolithic periods.
