English: Col. Stephen B. Lewallen Jr., left, congratulates Capt. Lauren F. Reisinger Nov. 4 after presenting her with a Bronze Star Medal at Camp Hansen. Reisinger earned the medal for her service with the Office of Security Cooperation while deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in Iraq, she used her Arabic language skills and cultural knowledge to aide her command in their duties. “Earning this award is humbling,” said Reisinger. “I used my knowledge and experience to help as much as I could.” Reisinger is a counterintelligence/human intelligence officer with 3rd Intelligence Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, III MEF.
