Description: Fig. 1. Ce sont des Pêcheurs à la sougne qui marchent pieds nuds sur le sable dans des endroits où il reste un peu d'eau: quand ils sentent sous leurs pieds des poissons qui se sont ensablés, ils les prennent à la main, ou bien ils les percent avec un digon. Fig. 2. En piétinant & émouvant le terrein sur un fond vaseux, on en fait sortir des Anguilles qu'on prend à la main, qu'on assomme avec un bâton, ou qu'on perce avec une fouanne. Fig. 3. Quand les vases sont trop molles pour marcher dessus, les Pêcheurs ajustent sous leurs pieds des planches minces, & enfonçant au hasard dans la vase des fouannes: ils en retirent des Anguilles & quelques autres poissons.
