I credit the firstknowledge we get of the Pestekuoy River (the Foxriver of Illinois) to Allouez, and believe him tohave also given those who drew some of the othermaps, the knowledge which enabled them to laydown the beautiful river which courses the region soabundant in the gifts of Nature.
