English: A complete, broadly ovate Acheulian (Lower Palaeolithic) handaxe, with thick butt and part of cortex remaining. The object is not symmetrical. It is dark grey in colour. It has dark brown staining on part of the cortex and is well worn, indicative of being rolled on beach. |
