English: U.S. Army Lt. Col. Chad C. Chalfont, commander of 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, briefed Lt. Gen. Frederick “Ben” Hodges, U.S. Army Europe commander, during his visit to Adazi Military Base, Latvia, March 27, 2015. Chalfront gave an overview of the units’ capabilities and projected implementation of assets into joint partnership exercises with Latvian forces throughout Atlantic Resolve during their deployment in the region. Atlantic Resolve is the enhanced land force multinational training and security cooperation activities taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to ensure multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
