Lower Express Rates. During the past summer we suc-ceeded in obtaining from theexpress companies a lower rating on plants. Heretofore they have beencarried at the regular merchandise rate, but now they will be taken at aspecial rate, which is twenty per cent, less than merchandise rate;with this reduction in view we urge express shipments more stronglythan ever.
