Русский: Эта карта 1740 года была создана французским картографом и гидрографом Жаком-Николя Белленом (1703-1772 гг.). Она была издана по приказу Жана-Фредерика Фелипо, графа де Морепа (1701-1781 гг.) — государственного секретаря при короле Людовике XV. Elle fut publiée sur ordre de Jean-Frédéric Phélypeaux, Comte de Maurepas (1701-81), secrétaire d'état sous le règne du roi Louis XV. La carte s'intéresse exclusivement aux côtes, et ne fournit aucun détail sur l'intérieur de la Péninsule arabique. Elle indique les bancs de perles le long de la côte de Bahrein à Juffar. Le Qatar est indiqué (“Katara”), mais la péninsule qu'il occupe n'est pas dessinée avec exactitude. Le Koweït n'apparaît pas, mais l'île de "Peleche" est indiquée. La Mer Rouge est indiquée comme la Mer Rouge ou Golfe d'Arabie. It was published by order of Jean-Frédéric Phélypeaux, Count de Maurepas (1701-81), secretary of state under King Louis XV. The map focuses exclusively on the coastlines, and provides no detail about the interior of the Arabian Peninsula. It shows pearl banks along the coast from Bahrain to Julfar. Qatar is noted (“Katara”), but the peninsula that it occupies is not accurately drawn. Kuwait is not shown, but the island of “Peleche” is indicated. The Red Sea is indicated as Mer Rouge ou Golfe d’Arabie (the Red Sea or the Gulf of Arabia). The note at upper right explains the use of three different symbols: a star to indicate places whose locations had been determined by astronomical observations of latitude and longitude; a cross to indicate places whose locations had been determined by astronomical observations of (only) latitude; and a modified cross to indicate places whose locations had been determined by latitudinal observations made by skilled navigators.

El mapa se centra exclusivamente en las costas y no proporciona ningún detalle sobre el interior de la Península Arábiga. Muestra los bancos de perlas a lo largo de la costa desde Bahrein hasta Julfar. Catar aparece como ( "Katara"), pero la península que ocupa no está dibujada de manera precisa.
