DescriptionMarine Week Phoenix, Scottsdale Marine paints his hometown 150907-M-XK427-179.jpg |
English: U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Scott Roguska, a native of Scottsdale, Ariz., assists painting a Marine Corps and Arizona themed mural at the Civic Center in Scottsdale Sept. 7, 2015, to commemorate Marine Week Phoenix, Sept. 10-13. Roguska, a Marine Corps graphic illustrator, is stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and joined in 2011 to serve a greater purpose. When asked what’s nice about being back home, Roguska smiled and kept it simple. “We were short a ladder this morning and I just called my wife to bring one down from family nearby.” Can’t take the simple things for granted. Sept. 10-13, your Marines will perform band concerts, showcase equipment and aircraft, such as the MV-22 Osprey and AH-1Z Super Cobra, and engage in community service events.
