English: Lance Cpl. Andrew J. Bonilla , left, prepares to take a bite of cake after it was passed to him by Col. Peter N. Lee, right, Nov. 7 at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, during a celebration of the Marine Corps’ birthday. Marines with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, MCAS Futenma, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan, participated in a march lasting 239 minutes, commemorating the 239 years since the Marine Corps was formed. After the march, they celebrated with a traditional cake cutting ceremony in which the oldest Marine, Lee, passed a piece of cake to the youngest Marine, Bonilla, signifying the passing down of experience and knowledge. Bonilla, a Sacramento, California, native, is an air traffic controller with the squadron. Lee is the commanding officer of the squadron. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Brittany A.
