Spragg Army Post Office Corps silver medal; 36mm diameter; three bars; with ribbon obverse- crowned and veiled head of Queen Victoria; legend- VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX reverse- Britannia with a flag in her left hand and holding out a laurel wreath in her right towards an advancing party of soldiers; in the background are two warships bars- CAPE COLONY - SOUTH AFRICA 1901 - SOUTH AFRICA 1902 ribbon- 32mm wide; red with two dark blue stripes and a broad orange central stripe named on edge- 752 PTE G.R. SPRAGG A.P.O. CORPS. markings- obverse- medallists name under bust- G.W. DE Saulles designer- GW de Saulles
