English: Khedive of Egypt's Star 1882-91 Medal awarded to 12723 Gnr A Preston, 1-2 Royal Artillery five-pointed bronze star; suspension ring attached a straight laureated bar with crescent and a small five-pointed star at centre of bar; with ribbon obverse- in centre the Sphinx with the three Great Pyramids behind; around this on a raised band, is embossed EGYPT 1882 and arabic script below (Khedives of Egypt 1299) reverse- the Khedive’s monogram ‘T.M.’ surmounted by a crown within a raised band; recipient's name inscribed arounf monogram- issued unnamed; recipient details engraved on reverse named on reverse side- 12723. GUNR A. PRESTON. regiemntal details on upper star points- 1-2 R.A; ribbon- blue-grey with a red stripe near each edge
