| Notes | Australian War Service Medal, WW2 Part of medal set of VX 133219 Major Arthur Keith Lambly, Australian Military Forces. New Zealander, Arthur Lambly, was a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon, Australia. He entered the college in 1916 and graduated in October 1919. He was subsequently appointed as a Captain in the New Zealand Defence Force. In 1937 Lambly left New Zealand, destination Melbourne. He served with Australian Military Forces in WW2, first with Tank Corps, then with the Engineers, retiring with the rank of Major, Royal Australian Engineers. He returned to New Zealand circa 1944 taking up residence in Devonport Auckland and working as a builder and becoming an active member of the New Zealand King's Empire Veterans Association. Arthur Lambly died in Auckland circa 1972. The probate lodged at the Auckland High Court records him as a builder, Devonport, Auckland. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
