English: Royal Red Cross 2nd Class Medal awarded to 22-12 Matron Cora B Anderson, NZANS, WW1 silver cross, 35 mm width, plain ring suspension, with ribbon, Obverse- enamelled red, with broad silver edges around the enamel, a circular medallion bearing effigy of George V. Reverse- circular medallion bearing the Royal Cypher of the reigning monarch, as well as the words "Faith", "Hope" and "Charity" inscribed on the upper limbs of the cross, with the year "1883" in the lower limb ribbon- 32mm wide grosgrain, dark blue with crimson edge stripes |

Notes | Royal Red Cross 2nd Class (ARRC) 22-12 Matron Cora Beattie Anderson, NZANS, WW1 Citation (LG 24 October 1917, p10975)- "In recognition of her valuable service in connection with the war". 22-12 Matron Cora Beattie Anderson, was attached to the New Zealand Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, UK, when her Royal Red Cross 2nd Class was gazetted in 1917. She later received the Royal Red Cross 1st Class in 1919 (LG 31-7-1919 p9822) "In recognition of her valuable nursing service in connection with the War", and was also mentioned in despatches (LG 21 June 1916) "in connection with administration in Egypt" and brought to the notice of the Secretary of State for War "for valuable services rendered in connection with the war" (Communique from the War Office, 3 March 1917).
