Description
English: Retired Col. Robert Howard, a Medal of Honor recipient, addresses the aviators of Task Force XII during a visit to Soldiers stationed on Camp Taji, March 25. Howard earned the award for his actions while serving as a platoon sergeant for an American-Vietnamese platoon that was on a mission to rescue a missing Soldier in enemy-controlled territory in the Republic of Vietnam. He served 36 years in the Army and retired in 1992. He currently serves as President of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society. (U.S. Army photo/Sgt. 1st Class Chris Seaton, Task Force XII)
