Description
English: Silver half real or chinfrão of Afonso V of Portugal, (1438-1481). The coin is clipped and worn.

Obverse inscription: ALFONSVS QVINTI REGIS PORT; Large crown with a monogrammed AL beneath, with an annulet on each side.
Reverse inscription: ADIVTORIVM NOSTRUM IN NO; Five shields arranged as a cross with five pellets in each shield.

Minted 1438-1481AD.
