English: Silver coin. Short cross penny of John (1199-1216), moneyer Adam at London mint, class 5b issue of 1204-1209

Obverse description: Facing bust with sceptre left, hair of two neat curls and pellets to either side, crown band of five pellets, round eyes, beard of fine strokes.

Obverse inscription: hENRICVS R EX

Reverse description: Voidedd short cross, quatrefoil in each angle. Initial cross potent.

Reverse inscription: +AD/AM./ON.L/VND, unbarred A

Diameter: 18.8mm, Weight: 1.40gms, die axis: 9
