Title |
Medieval Pottery Sherds |
||
Description |
English: Two conjoining Medieval pottery body sherds from probably the same jug (12th century). The sherds are decorated with an angular/curvilinear incised pattern. The style of jug was probably one of the more common designs in having thin walls, wide neck, simple rim and strap handle. The sherds are shelly ware with oxidised outer surface and reduced core and inner surface.
Identification by Lauren Gilmour. Dimensions: weight: 8.07g. |
