Medieval annular brooch/buckle pin
Description
English: Medieval incomplete cast copper alloy brooch pin from an annular brooch or buckle, late 13th-14th century. Roughly one third of the loop is missing; triple transverse moulding at the junction of the loop and the shaft; square sectioned shaft with end bevelled on the underside to form a blunt point. Length 43.4mm, width 4.5mm, overall thickness 9.6mm, width & thickness of shaft 3.5mm, weight 4.00g.
