Title
Medieval to post-Medieval lace tag
Description
English: A Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy object which is probably a lace tag, or, alternatively, may be a scabbard chape.

The object has been made from a piece of sheet metal which has been rolled into a cone. The tag is damaged at its open end and the object is also squashed, although this may have been an original feature of the piece. A vertical seam is visible on the reverse and a ring-shaped fitting has been applied to the point, probably to hold the cone together.

Dimensions: length: 45.4mm; maximum width: 13.5mm; thickness: 5.9mm. Weight: 4.11g.
