Description |
English: A Mesolithic flint tranchet axehead. The flint is patinated, a pale grey in colour and stained mid to dark brown in broad 'bands'. The axehead is mostly complete, although much of the blade end is missing due to an old break. The butt end has the remains of some cortex. The axehead measures 104.32mm in length, 47.76mm in width, 27.76mm in thickness and weighs 147.01g. |
