English: A mesolithic flint tranchet axe. The axe is made from a grey-buff flint patinated mottled olive-brown/ochre. It has a slightly S-shaped body and a truncated butt. Three small patches of cortex remain, each in the central of the largest faces. It measures123.8mm (length) x 51.7mm (width) x 38.4mm (thickness) and weighs 280.59g. |
