Description |
English: A gilded copper alloy 'tutulus' brooch dating between the first and third centuries. The brooch is circular with a raised centre. The rim is formed by a narrow channel decorated with incised 'X' marks. The main body is concave and in the centre is a small raised circular knop. The reverse of the brooch has a single lug containing a spring, and a catchplate at the other end. |
