English: U.S. Army Cpl. Joshua Galvan, of Elkgrove, Calif., watches as an Afghan national police member places a bandage on his fellow ANP member during a training course, Aug. 4, at the Nurgaram District Center in Nuristan province, Afghanistan. Galvan, and fellow 94th Military Police Company Soldiers, based at Fort Carson, Colo., hosted the four-day training event, covering such topics as first aid, vehicle control points, room clearing, explosive detection, searching and detaining a suspect, and reacting to a mass casualty event, in order to better prepare the ANP members for Afghanistan's second national election, scheduled for the end of August.
