English: Master Sgt. Jose Shorey, from San Antonio, Texas, bows his head as he reads the names of Military Policemen who were killed in 2009 during a memorial ceremony May 15 at Camp Victory Iraq. Among the names Shorey read were Spc. Brandon Owens, a Soldier Shorey had trained while serving as a drill sergeant, and Sgt. Jeffrey Reed, of Chesterfield Va., a Soldier Shorey had served with on his last deployment to Iraq with the 111th MP battalion. The ceremony marked the end of National Police Week, which ran from May 9 to May 15, 2010. |
