Modern Toy Farm Animal
Description
English: Lead alloy toy. Hollow-cast naturalistically rendered model of a bull or bullock at a scale of 1:32 or 54mm. A standing beast is represented, and survives complete save for all four lower legs, one haunch and the tail. Extensive traces of cream paint survive. A fragmentary moulded maker’s mark on the underside reads [--]N ENGLAND, and identifies this from Britain’s Farm range, issued from 1923. Suggested date: Modern, 1923-1939
