English: U.S. Navy Lt. Ryan Doyle, from Boca Raton, Florida, stands at the stern of the landing craft mechanized-8 after on-loading gear from of U.S. Naval Ship Sacagawea for exercise Balikatan 2015, April 9 at Subic Bay, Philippines. According to Doyle, the crew moved 120 projected inventory items to shore in three days, crushing expectations. The sailors off-loaded light tactical trailers and generator units essential for motor-transportation operations. Balikatan is an annual bilateral training exercise with the Philippines aimed at enhancing readiness and military-to-military relations, territorial defense and humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations. Doyle is a maritime prepositioning force division officer with Assault Craft Unit 1 stationed in Coronado, California. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Devon Tindle/Released) |
